Paul Harvey's "So God Made a Farmer" speech extends the Genesis creation passage in the Bible to include a fictional account of God's creation of a farmer on the eighth day of the Earth's existence. Harvey praises them for acting as caretakers of the Earth.

Paul Harvey was a conservative radio broadcaster who was popular among religious audiences in the mid-20th century. His "So God Made a Farmer" speech, which was delivered at the National Future Farmers Association convention in 1978, was intended as a succinct description of the qualities that make American farmers great. In the speech, Harvey explicitly equated the creation of farmers with the will of God.
