Where did Queen Nefertiti live?

It is believed that Queen Nefertiti lived her entire life in Egypt. While her birthplace is unknown, there is some evidence that she was born in Akhmim. She and her husband, Akhenaten the Heretic, lived in Thebes before moving to what is now Tell el-Amarna.

Nefertiti lived from 1370 to around 1330 B.C. Queen Nefertiti and her husband, Akhenaten, ruled Egypt from 1353 to 1336 B.C. For much of her documented life, Nefertiti is portrayed as a woman of great power, equal to that of her husband. No one knows what happened to Nefertiti; she simply vanished from all written records. No evidence of her mummy has been found.
