Did The Secret Circle have a third season?

The CW television series "The Secret Circle" did not have a third season. Cancelled after just one season of twenty-two episodes, executive producer Andrew Miller planned to continue the series, and he had story arcs in place for several characters.

Based on a series of books by L.J. Smith, "The Secret Circle" focuses on the character of Cassie Blake. After moving to the home of her grandmother in Chance Harbor, Washington, Cassie finds herself attracted to a boy named Adam. She quickly discovers that the students at her new high school are witches, and complications ensue when Cassie learns that the coven's leader, Diana, is also Adam's girlfriend.
