When did Stevie Wonder become blind?
By Forinfos - 26/03/2026 - 0 comments
Stevie Wonder was born without sight in 1950. His blindness was due to having an excess of oxygen in the incubator shortly after he was born premature.
Though he never had sight, Stevie Wonder became a music prodigy at a young age. He was part of his church choir in Detroit, Michigan, and began learning how to play different instruments as young as four years old. He taught himself to play the piano, drums and harmonica before he reached 10 years old. When he was 11, Ronnie White discovered him and signed him with his first record deal. He was originally called Little Stevie Wonder.
