How did the Trojan War end?

The Trojan War ended when the Greeks defeated Troy using a large wooden horse. The hollow wooden horse helped the Greeks gain entry inside the city walls of Troy.
Odysseus had the wooden horse constructed and delivered outside the city walls of Troy. Sinon was left behind and claimed to be mad at the Greeks for leaving him behind. He assured the citizens of Troy that the horse was safe. The Trojans thought the horse was a peace offering and celebrated their victory while rolling the horse into the city. At night, while everyone slept, Greek soldiers emerged from the hollow horse and slaughtered all the Trojans.
