A caff? mocha and a caff? latte, like other espresso drinks, differ in the amounts of steamed milk and espresso in each drink. Additionally, a mocha contains chocolate, but a latte does not.
Typically, a latte has between a 1-to-3 and a 1-to-9 espresso to steamed milk ratio. In most cases, a latte is made with one or two shots of espresso, 5 or 6 ounces of steamed milk, and a layer of foamed milk. A mocha is usually composed of two shots of espresso, 2 ounces of hot chocolate, 1 ounce of steamed milk and a layer of foamed milk.
