Some different types of perms include the body perm, spiral perm, multi-textured perm and spot/plain curl perm. The results of each perm produce a different type of texture and size of curl.

A body perm helps flat hair gain volume. A spiral perm produces tight curls, the size of which depends upon the size of the rod used. The multi-textured perm uses different size rods to create a more natural curly look, but it is best for woman with long hair. Spot/plain curls focus on one area of the head. This creates concentrated curls in one area of the head, creating endless curl possibilities.
