To cook corn in the microwave, remove the husk and clean the corn, and then wrap it in a damp paper towel. Place the wrapped corn on a microwave-safe dinner plate and microwave it for five minutes. Remove the paper towel carefully, and serve.

To cook corn on the cob in the microwave a different way, leave the corn in the husk, place 1 or 2 cobs in the microwave, and microwave them for three minutes. If you have three or four ears of corn, microwave them for five minutes. Place the hot cobs on a cutting board or cooling rack until they can be handled safely, and then remove the husks cautiously.
