What are the dimensions on a badminton court diagram?

The dimensions of an official badminton court are 44 feet long and 20 feet wide, as mandated by the Badminton World Federation. The court is divided into two equal halves by the net.

A diagram of the court reveals the inner and outer side boundary lines, long and short service lines, center lines and the back boundary lines. When playing singles, the players use the inner side boundary, which is 18 inches smaller than the outer side boundary lines. Both singles and doubles players use the full length of the court.

The net is 2 feet 6 inches tall, suspended so the top is 5 feet 1 inch in height at the posts and exactly 5 feet in height at the center. It spans the 20-foot width of the court.
