Who discovered the structure of DNA?

The structure of DNA was discovered by James Watson and Francis Crick. They published their paper "A Structure for Deoxyribose Nucleic Acid" in April of 1953. In 1962, they won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their discovery of the double helix structure of DNA.
James D. Watson is a biophysicist and researcher who was born in 1928. He went on to work in cancer research and helped establish the Human Genome Project at the National Institutes of Health. Francis Crick was a British biophysicist who lived from 1916 to 2004. After discovering the structure of DNA, he continued working as a researcher in genetics and wrote three books.
