What is discrete quantitative data?
By Forinfos - 02/08/2025 - 0 comments
Discrete quantitative data are counted data and cannot have fractions or decimals. Discrete data arise when determining only the presence or absence of something like success or failure; accept or reject; or correct or not correct.
Statistical data come in two types: qualitative and quantitative. Quantitative data are further classified as either continuous or discrete. Continuous data are measured data and can have fractions or decimals. For example, time, weight, distance and temperature are types of continuous data.
For any statistical analysis, it is very important to find out the actual type of data that needs to be analyzed. Different data follow different statistical distributions.
