Preparing the dishwasher for installation involves attaching elbow joints to the drain line and fill valve. The elbow joints should be facing the front of the dishwasher to allow for easy removal and maintenance if needed. To install the dishwasher, the electrical, water supply and drain lines must be connected. The dishwasher should then be moved into place, secured to the underside of the counter and tested for leaks.
