The Florida Department of Health offers a listing of physicians by specialty on the Medical Quality Assurance Website. Chiropractors, pharmacists and nurses are also found through the service. As of March 2015, the provider search option is located under the Consumer Services tab and is labeled Search Practitioner Profile.
The Medical Quality Assurance website also allows residents to verify the licenses of providers, file complaints and request public records. Under the practitioner search, there are options to search by profession, specialty, name and license number. There is a Health Care Practitioner Data Portal on the site that offers news, statistics and frequently asked questions to the public.
