What documentation is required for Canadian passport renewal?
By Forinfos - 21/11/2025 - 0 comments
The basic Canadian passport renewal requires the applicant's most recent passport and two identical government-approved passport photos. Other forms of identification are only required if the applicant doesn't want his birthplace to appear on his passport.
To be eligible to renew a Canadian passport, the applicant's current passport must be valid or expired for no more than one year, not damaged and never have been reported lost or stolen. It must also have been issued when the applicant was at least 16 years old. An applicant needs to apply for a new passport instead of renewing if his name, sex, date of birth or place of birth has changed.
