Do dogs have a sense of time?
By Forinfos - 02/03/2026 - 0 comments
While dogs do not experience the passage of time in the same way humans do, dogs are capable of being trained to expect future events based on their past experiences. This is seen as evidence of unique memories among various canines, according to some researchers.
Dogs tend to know that it is past time for their next meal in part because they are hungry. However, they also often recognize when it is time for their daily afternoon walk without the benefit of physical or external cues. Whether or not this indicates dogs are able to tell time continues to be debated among researchers.
