Due to their upward climb in price and demand, Morgan silver dollars offer a great investment for collectors. Due to their size and silver content, they remain the most valuable of the silver coins minted in the late-1800s and early-1900s.

At nearly 27 grams and 1 1/2 inches in diameter, even the most common Morgan dollars in average, circulated condition achieve values of almost $18. Several other issues of the coin - minted from 1878 to 1904 and in 1921 - trade for at least $100. The most treasured is the 1893 "S," which carries a value of $6,492 in poor condition, while a copy certified in mint condition by a reputable grading company could command a price tag of more than $550,000.
