To download a free manual for the FireX smoke alarm, go to Kidde.com, and click the For Owners link in the top menu. The top menu is located in the upper center portion of the Web page. Type "FireX" into the search field, and press Enter.

Next, choose your FireX model, and click the Download link to download the official manual as a PDF document. Save a copy of the manual using a free PDF reader, such as Adobe Acrobat. FireX manuals are available in English and Spanish, as of 2016.
