Downy Duck is the titular character of the children's book "Downy Duck Grows Up." It was written by Adda Mai Sharp and Epsie Young and illustrated by Elizabeth Rice.
"Downy Duck Grows Up" was published in 1947 and was the third story in the "Woodland Frolics Series." The story follows the young duckling as he enters adulthood. The story begins with Downy's mother wanting to teach him how to fly, but Downy sets out to learn on his own. Other books in this series include, "Who Are You?" "Watch Me," "Little Lost Bobo," "Chippy Chipmunk's Vacation," "Gordo and the Hidden Treasure," "Chichi's Magic" and "The Heart of the Wild."
