If you take a driver's test online, does it count towards your license?

The state of Florida offers a driver’s test online; however, it does not count towards a driver’s license. Test takers who pass the online driver’s test receive a learner’s permit. To be eligible for the online driving test, a test taker must be between 15 and 18 years old.
Prior to taking an online driving test, all teenage drivers must complete a drug, alcohol and traffic awareness course known as the DATA course. With a learner’s permit, a teenager can only drive when an adult accompanies him. To get a driver’s license in Florida, all drivers have to take the driver’s test at a local Department of Motor Vehicles office.
