What are dromedary products?

Dromedary products refer to all milk products derived from the Arabian camel, used primarily in desert areas. Dromedary products are not as versatile as cow, sheep and goat milk products due to the unique composition of camel milk, but they are often more accessible to locals.

Camel milk is considered a food staple in many nomadic desert tribes of North Africa and some areas of Australia. Dromedary milk products contain 3 percent protein, 3.6 percent fat and 4.4 percent lactose, as well as significantly higher quantities of potassium, iron and zinc than most cow's milk, making them a viable source of nutrition.
