Will dry ice remove dents?

Dry ice can be used to successfully remove light dents that cover a large area on a vehicle. Dents found on a car's hood, roof, fender, trunk or doors are all suitable areas to be treated with dry ice. The damaged area must be made of metal, on a flat surface and not located near any edges.
The dent is first heated using a hair dryer on a medium setting until the surface of the car is warm when touched. Aluminum foil should be placed on the dent to insulate it. Then, dry ice is held against the panel where the foil is located. The rapid change in temperature causes the dent to pop out. If the dent does not fully pop out, the process can be repeated.
