Most of the United States changes the time on the clocks in the spring and in the fall. Daylight Saving Time begins on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November.
During Daylight Saving Time, people turn their clocks ahead one hour in the spring and back one hour in the fall. They are supposed to change the time on the clocks at 2 a.m. Daylight Saving Time's purpose is to move an hour of daylight from the morning to the evening. Some parts of the United States do not observe Daylight Saving Time, including Hawaii, minor outlying islands, and parts of Arizona. In the past, parts of Indiana have not observed Daylight Saying Time.
