The dwarf hummingbird bush, or dwarf firebush, is a type of shrub that is commonly used in landscaping. The shrub often attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
The dwarf hummingbird bush grows well in USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 10, which is found in South Florida and Hawaii. This plant does not like the cold and will lose its leaves in extreme temperatures. Dward hummingbird bushes feature orange and yellow blooms, which appear on and off during the year.
This shrub should be fertilized three times per year and watered on a regular basis to provide adequate hydration. It thrives best at approximately 3 feet tall.
