What are the earliest crime scene photographs on record?

The idea of taking crime scene photo was born in the early 1900s. Alphonse Bertillion was the person who decided these photos were needed.
When photography first was invented police got the idea that criminals should have their picture taken. Bertillion believed that all pictures of the criminals should use the same setting and lighting so the criminals could be easily identified. This was how the mug shot was invented in 1879. Soon after, he realized photos should be taken of the crime scene to help find any evidence. He trained the police officers to take photos above the victim's body using a tripod. This helped them have photographic evidence for the areas adjacent to where the crime occurred.
