What is an easy DIY dining table centerpiece?

A simple do-it-yourself centerpiece from Real Simple is rubber band vases. Making them requires various sized clear glasses or vases, rubber bands in multiple colors, some form of filling and a creative eye.

Take a vase or glass and stretch several differently colored rubber bands around the outside. Make the bands at different levels and angles to create a varied design. Repeat this with the rest of the vessels, using different color combinations, numbers of rubber bands and band patterns. After the glasses are complete, fill them with the desired filling, such as real or fake flowers, stones, mini balloons or floating candles. Arrange centerpieces in groups.
