Mr. Sanjay Gupta is the editor of Dainik Jagran. Mr. Gupta is 51 years old and is also the CEO of Jagran Prakashan Ltd., the company that owns the newspaper. He should not be confused with the American neurosurgeon Dr. Sanjay Gupta, who hosts a weekend health program on CNN.

Jagran Prakashan Ltd. is India's top media group, and Dainik Jagran is its flagship brand. Created in 1942 during the height of India's struggle for freedom, Dainik Jagran has grown to be a daily newspaper with the largest readership, not just in the country but the whole world, reaching 55 million people. The newspaper has 37 different editions and is distributed to 11 states of India.
