The Spanish CLEP is the College Level Examination Program that tests specifically for Spanish language fluency. The exam tests fluency of the Spanish language up to the level of university students who have completed two to four semesters of study in the Spanish language.
The exam consists of 120 questions and is administered over 90 minutes. Certain questions in the exam are not scored, and all questions in the exam are weighted for even score contribution. As of 2014, approximately 2,900 colleges around the United States grant two to four semesters of college credit for a passing score on the CLEP Spanish exam.
