What is a third-person objective?
By Forinfos - 28/05/2026 - 0 comments
When a tale is told in the third-person objective style, the narrator is not part of the story. The reader is told only what characters do and say. Their thoughts and emotions are not related.
Third-person objective is not the only style that uses an outside narrator. In third-person omniscient, narrators are all-knowing. Much more information is given to the reader. The thoughts and feelings of some or all characters are included. However, though the narrators have this information, they may not reveal everything to the audience. In the third-person limited style, the narrator describes the inner workings of only one character's mind. This is the most common third-person style used.
