Do all electric dryers have the same amperage?
By Forinfos - 18/08/2025 - 0 comments
Most electric dryers sold in the United Stated have the same amperage. The amperage of an electric dryer is 30 amps. Knowing the amperage of a machine is important, as it determines the amount of current the appliance can handle without the risk of fire.
The amperage and voltage of a dryer can be checked by looking at the metal tag attached, generally to the back of the machine. This information is given alongside the machine’s make and model number.
When wiring a machine, the receptacle and the cord set must have the same electrical rating to maintain the safety.
