As of October 2014, Emily Giffin has published seven novels including: "Something Borrowed," "Something Blue," "Where We Belong," "Baby Proof," "Love the One You're With," "Heart of the Matter" and "The One and Only." She is considered to be a "chick lit" author.

"Something Borrowed" was Emily Giffin's debut novel in 2004. "Something Borrowed" was also made into a feature film starring Kate Hudson, John Krasinski and Ginnifer Goodwin in 2011. Emily Giffin started her career as an attorney, but after the success of "Something Borrowed" she vowed never to practice law again. Vanity Fair magazine has compared her to Jane Austen.
