Who are the enemies of alligators?

According to LiveScience, the only natural enemies of alligators 4 feet or larger are other alligators. Before reaching this size, young alligators are preyed upon by raccoons, bobcats and wading birds, among other animals. Human-related activities, such as poaching and territorial encroachment, remain threats.

The alligator, divided into American and Chinese species, is characterized by its broader snout in comparison to other members of the order Crocodilia. It is found in varieties of freshwater, such as lakes, rivers and swamps. The American species mostly resides in the southern United States, while the Chinese alligator lives in the Yangtze River basin of eastern China.
