What is an ethylene glycol freezing point chart?
By Forinfos - 20/03/2026 - 0 comments
An ethylene glycol freezing point chart shows the freezing point of a solution consisting of ethylene glycol and another fluid. The most common example of such a solution is the antifreeze solution used in automobiles.
Ethylene glycol is used in water-based heat transfer solutions where the fluid may be subject to freezing temperatures when the equipment or machinery is not in use. By altering the percentage of ethylene glycol in the water, the freezing point may be lowered to accommodate the expected extremes. For example, a solution of 50 percent ethylene glycol and 50 percent water has a freezing point of minus 34.2 degrees Fahrenheit.
