What are some everyday examples of hyperbole?

Someone running as fast as lightning, being so hungry they could eat a horse, or the inability to do anything right are all examples of everyday hyperbole. Hyperbole is just extremely exaggerating something.
The use of hyperbole helps reinforce a statement. For example, rather than simply saying that a man is tall, using hyperbole to say that he is "as tall as a house" leaves no doubt about the man's height. In addition, hyperbole can take a more visual form, as seen in some State Farm commercials from 2014 and 2015. The customer sings a jingle, then an insurance agent appears.
