What are some examples of foreshadowing in "Lord of the Flies"?

A commonly used device in Lord of the Flies, foreshadowing can be seen when the boulders are rolled from the castle rock, predicting Piggy's death. When Ralph reminds the hunters to remember the fire, this foreshadows the moment when the boys allow the fire to go out.
Examples of foreshadowing can also be seen in the out-of-control fire on the mountain, which foreshadows the island burning in a later chapter, and in Roger throwing stones at Henry, which foreshadows Roger launching a boulder at Piggy. In chapter five, the boys vote whether they believe there is a beast on the island, which foreshadows Simon's later conversation with the Lord of the Flies.
