A farmer may cross pollinate certain seeds in order to create a better specimen. A fertilizer might be used to make the plants grow larger and healthier. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has quality control standards in place to regulate the amount of chemicals or pesticides allowed in inorganic food.
