What are examples of laundry jobs?

According to My Plan, there are several different jobs in the laundry industry. A person can expect to work as a laundry room attendant, laundry sorter, dry cleaner apprentice, sheet folder, cleaner, presser and a clothes shaker among other positions.

A person working in a laundry capacity can expect to operate and maintain washing and dry cleaning machinery. The machines are used to wash or dry-clean commercial or household materials. Clothing, leather, suede, and silk are items often cleaned in this position. Laundry workers also clean draperies, comforters, rugs and linens. Cleaning such items may require expertise in spot cleaning to remove stains.
