Examples of special federal courts include Bankruptcy Court, the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the Court of International Trade. Military Courts are also considered part of the federal court system.
A Court for the Trial of Impeachments is also part of the federal court system. This court is set up to give power to try an officer of the government or another person to go through the process of impeachment. On a national level, the Senate is the Court for the Trial of Impeachments for federal officers, and at the state level, the upper house of the state legislature conducts the Court for the Trial of Impeachment of state officers.
