How do you exfoliate your lips?

To exfoliate your lips, apply petroleum jelly to them, and use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub the top and bottom lip. Leave a small amount of petroleum jelly on your lips to retain moisture. If desired, add granulated sugar or coffee grounds to the petroleum jelly for a more concentrated exfoliating scrub.

1. Apply petroleum jelly to your lips, and scrub with a toothbrush

   Spread a thick layer of petroleum jelly on your lips. Use a clean, soft toothbrush to gently scrub your lips in a circular motion for a couple minutes. The bristles of the toothbrush remove dead skin, and the petroleum jelly hydrates the lips.

2. Use coffee grounds or sugar

   Add a small amount of granulated sugar or coffee grounds to the jelly for more texture. Using your index finger, apply the mixture to your lips, and scrub in a circular motion for a couple minutes, then wipe the scrub off your lips. A toothbrush is not necessary if you add these ingredients.

3. Wipe off excess petroleum jelly

   Use tissue paper to remove excess petroleum jelly, but leave a small amount on the lips to retain moisture. If necessary, add a thin, fresh layer of the jelly. Apply some to your lips before going to bed at night to prevent your lips from drying out and flaking while you sleep.
