What is an extended bikini wax?

In an extended bikini wax, hair is removed both outside the panty line and slightly inside the panty line. The extended wax is about half-way between a panty line wax and a Brazilian wax.

In general, waxing lasts between 3 and 6 weeks. Unlike shaving, which cuts off hair at the surface, waxing removes hair at its root. Typically, a hard wax is used for sensitive skin, such as in the bikini area. A softened wax is applied to a section of hair. After it hardens, the wax is pulled off in a strip. For best results, hair should be between 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch long before waxing.
