Most factory outlet stores hold sales like department stores. However, factory outlet stores may not be selling the same quality clothes as what is sold under the brand’s main inventory, according to Racked.

Racked recently reported that Neiman Marcus has two kinds of outlets. The Last Call Clearance Centers sell overstocked items in the main store, while the Last Call Studio stores sell items that are specifically produced for the outlet store.

In another report from Buzzfeed, Off 5th executives told their investors that the outlet store carries 10 percent leftover Saks inventory, 25 percent private-labeled goods and 65 percent from merchandise made especially for the outlet.
