How far can a rabbit's ear hear?
By Forinfos - 06/09/2025 - 0 comments
The shape of a rabbit's ears allows the animal to detect high pitched sounds emitted from bugs, rodents, bats, birds and certain electrical devices up to 2 miles away. For normal-pitched sounds, a rabbit's hearing range is similar to a human's hearing range.
Rabbits' auditory senses help them detect predators and navigate their surroundings. Rabbits move their ears back and forth when detecting sounds in order to accurately locate potentially dangerous areas. They also have the ability to move their ears independently from one another. In addition to possessing strong auditory senses, they have excellent panoramic vision that allows for additional defense against potential predators.
