How fast does Jupiter rotate?
By Forinfos - 28/04/2026 - 0 comments
Jupiter rotates at a speed of 28,273 miles per hour, making it the fastest rotating planet in the solar system. Unlike other planets, Jupiter is mainly made up of gases, which is why it does not rotate as slowly as the others. The only other planet made of gas is Saturn.
Due to its speedy rotation, Jupiter's day lasts for about 9 hours and 50 minutes. This planet is the largest in the solar system. It is an oblate spheroid, as opposed to being spherical like planets with solid surfaces. Besides the sun and moon, this planet is the shiniest object in the sky.
