How fast does Mars rotate?
By Forinfos - 19/09/2025 - 0 comments
The planet Mars has a rotational period of 24 hours, 39 minutes and 35 seconds. This rotational period means that the length of the Martian day is only 40 minutes longer than a day on Earth.
Mars is the fourth planet from the sun and shares many similarities with the Earth. Mars has two small moons: Demos and Phobos. While the planet has no magnetic field, it is able to maintain a thin atmosphere that is made up mostly of carbon dioxide. Mars appears to be red because its surface is covered with a fine dust composed of iron oxide.
