Does the FBI have regional call centers?
By Forinfos - 21/05/2025 - 0 comments
As of 2015, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has 56 regional call centers, known as field offices, according to the organization. A special agent in charge oversees each field office, except New York, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. The FBI also has approximately 380 resident agencies located in smaller towns.
The FBI field offices conduct investigations on local and regional federal crimes, notes the organization. The offices research crime threats that may affect the area and work with other local law enforcement agencies. Residents who need to contact their local field office should go to the FBI website to determine the office that oversees their area.
