Microsoft Word 2007 replaces older menus and toolbars with a ribbon that groups tab elements into subtasks and includes command buttons in each group. This version also includes new three-dimensional diagramming and charting features with effects such as drop shadows and transparency. Additionally, Word 2007 prevents changes to the final version of a document with the Mark as Final feature that converts it into an noneditable format.
