Each Newell coach is powered by a 14.9-liter, 912-cubic-inch Cummins diesel engine that gives the driver around 8 miles per gallon. Newell is a special company because it lets drivers customize their motor coaches from the inside out. Each coach features things like a custom paint job and chrome interior features.
No two Newell motor coaches are the same thanks to the customization process. Newell motor coaches start at a base price of around $1.2 million and go up, based on the chosen options.
Each Newell motor coach comes with a rear engine, rear-wheel drive and can seat up to 15 passengers comfortably. The engine is a turbocharged diesel inline-6 with an iron block and head and direct fuel injection. These engines, although large, can easily top out at over 105 miles per hour. This 45-foot-long coach takes 44 quarts of oil and has a 225-gallon fuel tank. It also has storage for 143 gallons of fresh water.
Due to the time it takes to build a Newell motor coach, the company only produces around 24 each year, and each coach is built by hand. Each Newell coach is built like a bus, with under-floor storage, air suspension and air brakes, but each also comes with other features such as a front-mounted generator and a mid-entry door.
