Located in Columbia, South Carolina, the Dorn VA Medical Center is a teaching hospital that has served veterans since 1932. The 204-bed facility offers a comprehensive range of health services at primary, secondary and tertiary levels of care. Over 75,000 unique patients received care during fiscal year 2013.

South Carolina veterans can seek outpatient services at Dorn VA Medical Center or at one of its seven regional clinics. The medical center campus also hosts a Veterans Benefits Administration office and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. The facility is named after a World War II veteran elected to both houses of the state legislature and the U.S. House of Representatives.
