When is the Fellsmere Frog Leg Festival?

The Fellsmere Frog Leg Festival is held in Fellsmere, Florida. The festival features leg and gator tail dinners, hundreds of craft booths, music and rides. As of 2015, it holds the Guinness Book of World Records record for being the largest frog leg festival in the world.

Local community members came up with the idea of the frog leg festival while brainstorming ways to help raise funding for the recreational needs of the local children. The first festival started with the offering of 400 pounds of frog legs. The festival has since grown to accommodate over 80,000 visitors, serving up to 2,000 pounds of gator and 7,000 pounds of frog legs.
