A female mouse is called a doe. Buck refers to a male mouse, and a baby mouse is called a pinky or kitten. A doe can become pregnant at six to eight weeks old.
The female mouse produces five to 10 kittens in one litter. It gives birth after three weeks of pregnancy. The kittens are usually born with their eyes closed and hairless. A doe can produce more than 100 babies every year.
A mouse, which has a normal lifespan of one to two years, is between 15 to 20 centimeters in length with a weight of 30 to 60 grams. Belonging to the Muridae family, a mouse can run at 12 kilometers per hour.
