What is Feral Cat FOCUS?

Feral Cat FOCUS is a non-profit organization committed to solving feral and free-roaming cat overpopulation in Western New York. The organization seeks to humanely reduce the feral cat population through trap-neuter-vaccinate-return, abbreviated TNVR.

Feral Cat FOCUS was founded in 2003 and believes TNVR is a humane and effective solution to feral cat overpopulation. Using TNVR, free-roaming and feral cats are trapped, spayed or neutered and then vaccinated. The cats are then released back to their outdoor homes. This process is effective because it sterilizes a high percentage of the population, resulting in fewer births. Feral Cat FOCUS' goal is to make TNVR an accepted and fully understood practice in every community.
